You need to pay £520. A four week deposit (£480.00) to secure the accommodation booking (i.e. you pay for four weeks rent in advance) plus a £40 non refundable registration fee. We therefore advise you to ensure that you are in receipt of your Visa before you submit your Homestay application form and deposit

If you prefer to live in rented accommodation you will need to make your own arrangements and this can be difficult if you are not already in the country, unless you already have friends or family here.

You usually have to pay a deposit - which should be returned to you when you move out - plus your first week's/month's rent in advance. It can be difficult to find good quality rented accommodation in London suitable for students which is also affordable.
