This means that Southgate students will be able to access their virtual PC not only within the College but also at home.  This will include being able to access all software, files and printing facilities used in their studies at the College. We are all extremely proud and excited to be a leader in this new technology.
Accomodation
Southgate College is able to offer Homestay accommodation to international students. Homestay means that you will be living at home with a host family. You will have your own bedroom and will share access to the rest of the house. For more information on homestay please click here.

Religion & Culture
Southgate College recognises the importance of each and every religion and actively encourages students to pursue their individual faiths and beliefs.

The College has a Multi-faith Room where you can practice your faith during College time. This is a quiet room for prayer and reflection. Please ask at reception.

Southgate is in the London Borough of Enfield, which is a cosmopolitan borough catering for the needs of a diverse range of cultures and religions. For more information on local cultural groups and places of worship see www.enfield.gov.uk

Social activities and leisure programme
London is one of the most vibrant cities in the world so there are plenty of things to see and do. Whether your interests are theatre, comedy, dinning, music or sight-seeing, in London you can see almost anything - large or small. Click here and take a look at this local event guide.

Events for EFL/International students only
The programme depends on the interests of the students each year, but usually includes a Welcome Party, trips to the pub and trips to London Museums, London Zoo, Houses of Parliament and are eligible to apply for places on College trips such as Eurodisney. Costs depend on the event and the number of people who want to take part but usually start at about £5-£6 upwards.

There occasionally opportunities to be involved in activities with partner College’s in other countries.

Events for all students
You can also take part in the College’s Enrichment/Extras Programme and these activities are usually free. Numbers are limited for each activity so you often need to sign up early in the new academic year. Activities include sports such as: basketball; badminton; table tennis; rugby; weights; talks by outside speakers; health awareness promotion; and activities celebrating the diversity of the College’s cultures — all good opportunities to improve your English and to find out useful information.

The Students’ Union also organises parties and other events.

The Nursery
Students with children aged between 3 months and 5 years can use the Nursery while they study. The Nursery is held on site and has fully qualified staff. For more details telephone 020 8982 5073.
