Train to Gain is a new government programme providing fully funded training to support employers by ensuring their staff have the right skills to do the job.
Southgate College is a quality approved Train to Gain provider and we would very much like to work with your organisation.
Are your staff eligible for funding?
If your employees are age 19 years or over and possess a contract of employment they are probably eligible to do a Train to Gain qualification at no cost to the employer.
Alternatively, you may have volunteers working for your organisation who are eligible for fully funded training. Eligibility rules are the same as for an employed worker, but they do not require either a contract of employment or a letter confirming their duties.
How much does it cost?
Train to Gain is free of charge to those organisations whose employees or volunteers meet the above criteria.
Which qualifications are available?
We offer a wide range of National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) at Level 2 and Level 3, delivered at a time and in a place to suit your staff’s working patterns.
How does it work?
We provide:
- A free training needs analysis to establish the existing and future skills requirements of your organisation
- Individual assessment of each member of staff to ensure that the full training needs are met
- Workshops for your staff to underpin their knowledge and prepare them for their NVQ
- On site assessment and training to fit with staff working patterns
- Support with communication skills
- Ongoing individual information, advice and guidance
