Southgate College can support your business training needs with a whole range of accredited and non-accredited training solutions. A member of our Business Development Team will meet you to review the needs of your organisation and discuss ways in which we could work together. We will jointly agree the best way to deliver solutions to your training requirements and the model that will best suit your organisation.
Employee training needs can be met through a range of bespoke or ‘off the shelf’ solutions as follows:
- Legislation-accredited training, e.g. health and safety, food hygiene, first aid
- Half/one day courses in IT, sales, marketing, project management
- Full NVQ qualification-led training delivered in the workplace possibly through Train to Gain
- Specific tailored training designed around your organisational needs
Other Services available from Southgate College
To support your staffing requirements, Southgate College has a range of part-qualified students who would like to:
- Gain one/two weeks' work experience to support their studies
- Do some longer term voluntary work with a local organisation to enhance their CV
- Find local full time employment
- Become an apprentice, whereby they have a full time job which will include one day release to College during term time, to enable them to gain a full sector-specific qualification
Southgate College is also able to offer your members of staff continuous professional development (CPD) opportunities at the College. You may have employees who would like to come and talk to our students about their particular job and share experiences of working in their chosen sector.
Alternatively, you may be looking for a venue for a corporate function. Southgate College has a variety of facilities available for hire, including a licensed restaurant, motor vehicle workshop and construction area.
Finally, you could help us by supporting some of our staff with their CPD needs. We would value linking with organisations to set up work-shadowing opportunities to keep our employees’ skills up to date.
